Kasey started school on Wednesday - it is so quiet here during the day without him running around yelloing and screaming. Miss the little bugger heaps.
Mum of two and grandmother of eight, I have been researching my own family history for over 40 years. Other family members have asked me for help with their research and naturally I have oblidged. It is the thrill of the chase that keeps me going in my genie research. Nothing is more satisfying than finding a missing link. Except perhaps completing something that I have been creating. I'm also into things creative - I knit, I crochet and I sew.. and now I'm learning to spin as well. With all these grandkids, I spend time amusing them or sewing for them and making them toys and teddy bears as well. Their smiles and squeals of delight make it all worth while. In recent times I have begun to sell some of my yarn crafted items so do drop by my store and visit.
The gorgeous little angels below are the five of my eight grandchildren that I see with any regularity. Tahlia is 15 this year and lives here in SA with her mum and step-dad; Kasey is 7 in August and lives with me; Laura turned 8 at the end of last year and Hannah is 7 in September - they live in country SA with their mum; and little Phoebe 3 1/2 and lives in New Zealand with her mum. There are two more boys - Joshua(10 shortly) andTre (6 later this year)- in Tassie whom I have never seen, and Tyrone - the one we lost lives in his urn on the shelf in the lounge room. Tahlia, Joshua, Tyrone, Kasey, Tre and Phoebe are my son's children; Laura and Hannah are my daughter's children.
